Title: ActiveHome Pro crashes
Post by: brianv on February 25, 2005, 07:38:26 PM
Hey all,
Just starting with x10, not off to a good
start tho. I can't even launch ActiveHome. I
recieved the link in the mail today, when I
download it 3.166 get's installed. As soon
as I launch it it crashes. I'm getting the
following error in the Microsoft report.
WinXP SP2 if this matters.

AppName: activehm.exe
AppVer: 3.0.0.166
ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180
Offset: 00009e9c

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Brian

Well, I can get AHP 3.180 to load, but, it
crashes after attempting to set up rooms and
timers.

From what I've read the latest updates to AHP
have been a disaster, even on brand new WinXP
SP2 machines.

Maybe it'll get fixed this Spring.

Cheers,  Todd K.

Do the smart thing and send this junk back
while you still have the 30 day money back
guarantee.  I tried for over a week (two
different units) and couldn't get anything
to work the way they advertise, not even
close. It appears from reading these forums,
X10 is still a long way off from making this
product work the way they advertise. Maybe
sometime in the future this will be a usable
product, but not now.  As you can read in
these forums, there are plenty of people
willing to fund this scam...don't you be one
of them.  I am a satisfied customer because
I returned this junk and got a refund.
