Title: Timers don't execute properly
Post by: jack on October 08, 2005, 10:57:04 AM
I have set up a Leviton dimmable wall
switch module and can operate it from
the "room" display.  It will turn on and
off and dim.

Then I set up a timer.  The timer cannot
turn the module on or off.  The log shows
that when I turn the module on by clicking
on the switch icon, the controller issues a
module number signal, then an "on" signal.
When the timer executes, it sends the
module number signal, then a "100% bright"
signal.  The lights don't come on.

Got any suggestions?

I had the same problem.
It would not work with AHP macro
or timers. Tried a few experiments and
found
the absolute on to be at fault. If I send
a
Bright command to the Leviton switch that
is
off nothing happens. As opposed to an X10
switch which will turn on. I was able to
get
it to work by changing the setup on the
AHP
of my Leviton's switch to an appliance
module. Thus AHP would send a true “on”
command.
If you would like to use dim.

In ActiveHomePro, define the module TWICE -

Once as a standard wall switch,
and once as an appliance module.

Use the appliance module to turn it
on/off,
and the wall switch to control dim levels.
