Title: ActiveHome Pro update to v3.198 available
Post by: X10 Pro on December 07, 2005, 08:17:24 PM
It's been a while, but a new version of
ActiveHome Pro is available. We jumped from
version 3.187 to 3.198 due to development on
the MyHouse Online Internet Plug-in. Changes
in this version are:

- Fixed a problem that caused some imported
original ActiveHome files to have all times
converted to AM

- Fixed a problem with Merge and timers for
macros, potentially crashing AHP

- Fixed Hardware config displaying in
24-hour time, even if unchecked in Preferences

- Corrected "Address Only" advanced command
so that it is PC-only, and now works as it should

- Added preference to send ON instead of
Bright 100% command for lamp modules in
Macros (Macro Options Tab)

- Added a "Troubleshooting" entry to the
Help menu with links to help resources on the
X10 web site

- iWitness: Revised messaging & help when
ActiveHome Pro cannot get video source.

- iWitness: Added 4x4 camera grid view for
users with more than 9 cameras.

- MyHouse Online: Added alternate e-mail
method for cases when primary method is rejected.

- MyHouse Online: Revised Status window
messaging to remove NtaSysConnClosed message
and add meaningful information.

- MyHouse Online: Added caution message for
remote users.

- MyHouse Online: Fixed a problem that could
prevent Start & Stop of camera scanning from
working

You can download the update installer
directly from here:

http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ahp_updt.exe

You can install the previous version (3.187)
using this installer:

http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ahp_updt_187.exe

If you have any problems with this new
version, please let us know.

1.- When I exit the Active Pro program
(v.3.198) I cannot run again the program
unless I reboot my pc.

2.- When I make click on "Check for Update"
with v3.198 nothing happen (on prior
versions a window notified if the current
version was up-to-date).

Peter MC, I checked for both of these
problems on my PC, and they work OK for me.

FYI: I am running it on Windows XP Pro.

I updated AHP from 3.187 to 3.198 yesterday,
and the first problem that
I noticed was that I would get multiple
entries in “Activity Monitor”
Which I use very often.
Ie;

Event Date/Time    Action    Data
0 12/10/2005 1:42:23 am Receive B5 (Left Side
MS16A)
1 12/10/2005 1:42:24 am Receive B On (Left
Side MS16A)
2 12/10/2005 1:43:19 am Receive B5 (Left Side
MS16A)
.
.(This would be transactions from 1:42:23 am
- 6:28:09 am and then repeat
repeat multiple times) more than 20, I
stopped counting after 20.
.

134 12/10/2005 6:28:09 am Receive B5 (Left
Side MS16A)
135 12/10/2005 6:28:10 am Receive B On (Left
Side MS16A)
136 12/10/2005 6:29:04 am Receive B5 (Left
Side MS16A)
137 12/10/2005 6:29:04 am Receive B Off (Left
Side MS16A)
138 12/10/2005 1:42:23 am Receive B5 (Left
Side MS16A)
139 12/10/2005 1:42:24 am Receive B On (Left
Side MS16A)
140 12/10/2005 1:43:19 am Receive B5 (Left
Side MS16A)
141 12/10/2005 1:43:19 am Receive B Off (Left
Side MS16A)

I ended up going back to 3.187, and the
multiple log entries were no longer.
Not sure why the log entries are duplicating
multiple times.

Forgot to mention with the 12/10/05 Activity
log with multiple entries, there were a total
of 5013 Events total durring this 5 hour period.

Chris S, what is supposed to happen when B5
On is received?
Title: Re: ActiveHome Pro update to v3.198 available
Post by: Chris S. on December 11, 2005, 01:01:58 PM
B5 On sends a signal to a socket rocket and
turns a lamp on.

Post by: bob linca on December 11, 2005, 01:51:31 PM
If 'B5 On' triggers a macro, and the Socket
Rocket is also set to B5, then the signal
sent to the Socket Rocket might re-trigger
the B5 micro.

If you don't have a macro, then the 'B5 Off'
will be turning the light off. However, if
the MS16A can see the light that it is
controlling, it might be interpreting the
light going off as movement, and so switches
it on again.

Bob,
Thanks for your input.
No Macros, everything ws fine in 3.187 version.
After the upgrade to 3.198, multiple
duplicate entries occured for the same
event.

Went back to 3.187 version, no problems .

Newest release installed to make ready for
myHouse plug-in. I lost most of my control
over most of my lights. Now some simply
won't work at all and others will only turn
on. Only one light set still works. WTF?

I upgraded to 3.198 with no problems
whatsoever. All timers/macros work as
programmed. Find Other Computers help on
longer crashes X10 Pro.

I suspect anyone having problems with 3.198,
it's specific hardware in their systems.

Before upgrading to AHP, AH 1.42 would not
work on my system. So any faults in AHP have
to be machine specific.

Since installing AHP v3.198 have had quite
a few lock ups on the program. Mainly when
trying to clear interface or download to it.
Using XP Media edition. Other than the lock
ups, the update seems to work pretty good !

I too am using XP Pro and after updating I
can no longer view my cams, it won't send
me email and won't connect to the server
when a macro tells it to.  How can I roll
it back?

Update:  I used the link and rolled it back
to .187 and it still won't send emails or
video.  Anyone have any ideas?  I was up
for 3 or 4 days b4 the update and doing
fine.  Now it is worthless.  Is it a server
problem?  I can from remote change cams but
still can't receive video. Even now it
causes problems with my remote computer so
I question the server or the remote
software.

Upgraded to 3.198 last night and at random
times the cm15a transmits over a thousand
ON commands in less than 2 minutes to all
my modules except 2 of them. WTF is UP?

Now that I have 3.198 when I try to edit the
holiday timers in Prefs I get Error "The
instruction at 0x139ad8df" referenced memory
at "0x0000006c" The memory could not
be "read."". All XP SP2 updates done. RAM
tested & checked out, Video drivers updated
(card changed too to see if mattered- not)No
other software experiencing problems that I
could tell. Any clues? Oh, deinstall-
reinstall did not help either.

Well I tried rolling back and it seems my
memory error that wasn't in the next to last
version is mine to keep now. WTF Over

Just upgraded to 3.198.  The upgrade placed
the new file in an ActiveHome Pro directory
on the C: drive which it created.  My
origional installation is on the D: drive.
This is the first time this has happened.  I
deleted it and tried update again and the
same thing happened.  What has gone wrong?
Doug.

After upgrading to 3.198, my Smart Macros
Condition Wizard no longer offers Flag
status as a condition.  Plus, when I click
on Conditions from the menu on the right
side under Macro designer, it just launches
the wizard, and never displays the condition
options in the menu, so I can no longer use
flag status as a condition.  I've also
noticed the multiple entries in the activity
log, and AHP has crashed multiple times
while editing macros.  I'm running Win2k
Server, and it occasionally crashed before
the upgrade, but never this bad.  Finally,
under preferences, I can't select to have
the wizard interface for new macros stay
on.  I select it, close the window, but when
I reopen it, it's no longer selected.  I
will try to roll back to 3.187, but when can
we expect a fix to these bugs from X10?

Hi,

Little problem :
AHP 3.198
In the plugins menu options :
- Show Featured plug-Ins
- when I drag the mouse over Smart macros,
I can see the sub-menu for this item
- but when I drag down for iWitness, the
menu stills the same as above
- but the option for Myhouse Online are
correct.

It is not so a major problem .. all things
work properly.

Thanks.

Hi!

An other little bug :
In the plugins menu options :
- Show Featured plug-Ins
- My House Online
- about
- the help button is showing the help
file of AHP, not the help file of MyHouse
plugin

I have a problem with the new AHPro software
ver. 3.198. When you turn off transceived
house codes, the software still see RF
signals. The animated Icons respond but don’t
send the signal over the power line, except
for macros. The macro responds, which then
turns on everything in it. Also the receiver
in the CM15A is not near as good as the
receiver in the TM751. I have tried to turn
off the receiver in the CM15A and use my
TM751which is in a better location to receive
from all over my house, but with both
receivers working they lock up.

I intalled AHP to my other PC running XPSP2
and although the error "The instruction at
0x139ad8df" referenced memory
at "0x0000006c" The memory could not
be "read."". doesn't show, the computer
merely says AHP experienced an error and has
to close (sorry) Same place - In prefs
trying to change location or when trying to
use holiday timers. IMHO it has to be this
software. Any clues to fix? One OS was
XPhome the other xp pro.
