Title: Remote Camp, need security
Post by: doublekay on November 27, 2004, 11:52:55 PM
Hello,

I am looking for any advise about a hunting
camp we have in VT.. It is deep in the woods
with no power except a generator when we are
in camp....  We have had some issues lately
and want to do something to catch the
jerks..  A few problems 1)no power, 2)
extream cold in late fall, and winter. 3)
darkness if they hit us at night.. 4) data
storage????

Any suggestions would be a great help.....

Kevin

Cameras can be purchased that are used for
mounting on game trails. They are motion
sensitive, and can be mounted outside, and
obscured. They take pictures from a 35mm
camera in the housing. Doesnt help you at
night, but better than nothing.

how about building a small bunker with some
12v batteries to run your system?  insulated
and under the ground should keep the stuff
warm enough, solar battery chargers are cheap
and available....   but they will probably
just find this stuff and steal it, too.
maybe send pics out over a cell phone?
