Title: Connecting Audio to Computer
Post by: ian on January 09, 2005, 02:50:40 PM
Is it possible using the x10 video receiver
Model VR31A to send video and audio to the
computer? Thanks.

Maybe; depends on your video card and sound
card. The sound cards line input should be
able to take the audio. The video is a
composite video and if you have a video card
that can take it and process it then all
should [never done it myself] be ok. A video
capture card with composite input should
also work. I have used the video; audio
signals into a tv with direct inputs for
video and audio.

OK, thanks. I already have the X-ray Vision
adapter to get the video, so I just need to
do the audio. I was kind of thinking along
the same lines of just plugging it into the
sound card. I might need to get some sort
of converter or a different sound card I
guess. Thanks.

The audio should be in the Line Input level
for a sound card. You may need an adapter to
get the RCA type connection into the 1/8"
stereo jacks found on most sound cards.

Thanks Brian. I think that will work.
