Title: What cam or system will do this?

Ok, this is what I'd like to do but don't know what would work: First, I have dial-up isp connection not broadband.. I want to view images on my laptop computer in one part of the house, from a cam set in another area of my house, maybe a different floor- ie' to watch what's going on. I currently don't have a "home network" set up and just use my laptop by plugging it in the wall outlet. So how would I go about doing this, if it can be done? any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks!   p.s. any cams that record in darkness would be a big plus..
