Title: Switches and Floresent Bulbs Work Around
Post by: Adam Thacker on November 07, 2005, 07:16:17 AM
I am not sure how common this information is
but I was having problems switching my bulbs
to florescent ones and flickering when
turned off The workaround that I used was if
you have more than one bulb you can replace
all bulbs except for one that needs to be an
incandesent bulb and the rest can be
florescent on the the switch. Not a 100% fix
but for myself where I had banks of 4
floodlights it will work until I get new
switches. Hope this helps someone out there.

That is fine until that bulb burns out then
the switch might also.

Appliance Modules I hope? Lamp Modules
should never be used for Flourescent Lamps.
The flicker is from the local sensing
circuit and X10 says keep a standard lamp
with the Flourescent ones to stop flickers.
The better way is a mod where you cut the a
Diode in the module that stops the flicker.
Does void the warantee, but works nicely.

I agree with Brian H.  You can find this mod at: http://www.idobartana.com/hakb/Modifying_Appliance_module.htm (http://www.idobartana.com/hakb/Modifying_Appliance_module.htm)
