Title: Temeperature Sensor
Post by: jonk on November 20, 2005, 01:08:41 PM
I am looking for a way to get the temperature
inside of my home without having to replace
my current thermostat. I'm not interested
(yet) in controlling my hvac equipment. I
have written a small customized asp.net page
to access my home from the web and would just
like to see the current temperature inside of
my home (without a camera). Is there a sensor
that can report the temperature to activehome?

I have seen a module from Smarthome called
the TempLinc. It can be polled for the
temperature. The reply is in a unit code and
dim level%. It has to be converted to the
temperature. It does use one of the
temperature charts known to some home
control software. I don't believe AHP is one
of them. For best use it takes a whole house
code.
