Title: Socket Rocket Programming?
Post by: kimndave on July 05, 2006, 10:46:43 AM
I just purchased LM15A Socket Rockets and don't have a controller. Argh! Is there a way to set the codes without using the controller or mini-timer? I do have the Learning Remote and Palm Pad Remote.

Not that I know of.

Programming a Socket Rocket is easy with a MC460 Desktop Controller and a lamp. The MC460 is not expensive and they are useful.

Do you have any Transceivers TM751 or RR501 console in the DS1000 Security kit; the cm15a USB AHP interface? They can receive the commands from the Remotes or Plampad. I have used a transceiver and a Palmpad to program mine. I have also used a TR16A Touchtone Responder to program them as long as the unit code is <10 as there is no 11-16 on the unit.

Looks like I'm out of luck. I have neither the TM751 Transceiver, the RR501 Console, nor the TR16A Controller. Looks like I'm off to buy some accessories.

Thanks for your help, Dan & Brian!

FYI. Your remotes will not work; without a transceiver; as they do not talk over the powerline  directly to modules. They send an RF signal to the transceiver that sends the commands over the powerlines.

You need at least *ONE* transmitter in your setup - are you sure that you don't have *ANY* yet???  ???

What do you currently use to turn 'things' ON?

It sounds like they wanted to control the LM15A with the remotes; but they don't communicate directly to the LM15A and need a transceiver.
