Title: Am i headed in the right direction....Building a system
Post by: zimzam on July 31, 2006, 04:00:33 PM
I am looking for a new system.  X10S website is way confusing and their customer support makes it worse.  I am looking for a 3 or 4 camera system 2 outdoor and 1 indoor.  I would like to view all 3 simultaneously on the TV and record motion on all 3 when I am not home.So far I have some up with this:

1 3-Camera XCam wired color video camera kit
    - 3 Cameras
    - 1camera remote control
    - 1 wireless transceiver

1 Multi Camera VCR Commander II Video Recording Kit with 3 Active eye Motion Sensors

1 Mace NQC700 Color quad processor.

Is this all I need?  IS there a better way to do it?  Also, how far can I extend the cables for the cameras?

Thanks Scott

Doe look like you are headed in the right direction. You probably meant a wireless video receiver (VR 36A) and not transceiver. Should be a fun project.

Suggestion for jawaid:  This board is equipped with a spell-check feature - USE IT!!!

Thanks for pointing out the spell-check feature. I had not paid attention to it and I will use it.
