Title: ActiveHome Pro vs. Vanguard Internet Control Center
Post by: treborz17 on August 23, 2006, 08:49:14 PM
I am using ActiveHome Pro with my X10 modules and cameras.  I have a Vanguard camera coming.  Will the Vanguard Control Center allow me more action with my Vanguard camera than I can get from ActiveHome Pro, i.e. able to focus over Internet, etc.?

Can anyone advise what is the main difference between the two softwares?  Both seem to be still offered by x-10. Did I read somewhere that camera images have to go thru the x-10 server?

The main difference between the two is AHP gives you more options/control! But you need to make sure you order the package deal with all plug-ins (usually $49 in the daily deals section)
Note: this doesn't come with the VA11A video capture deviceand it only works with that capture device!

Yes, for both but there are ways around this using  free software  like Real VNC (http://www.realvnc.com/products/download.html) ;)
