wireless cameras and entertainment receiver
« on: November 12, 2006, 03:49:11 AM »

Will the entertainment receiver pick up the video from the wireless cameras?  It says not to use the entertainment receiver with the cameras, but it seems to indicate that it's because the audio won't work.  What if I don't care about the audio?

Model numbers would be nice, but it will most likely work. X-10 uses the same four bands of 2.4 GHZ for everything.

Even some non-X10 cameras work on X-10 recievers.

It may be that the cams won't work with the software.
Or the option isn't available with the remote (but there is a work around for that!). ;)
Cams do send sound! So that isn't the reason! ::) ;) :D

I use a mix of sender receivers, some with audio...some not. I even have some (made by X10 and sold) through radio shack. The video channel selections A,B,C,D are the same. But the camera audio doesn't seem to be as standardized.

I don't need camera audio in most my camera locations, as I believe, it may be against the law to AUDIO tape in my state.

part numbers - right - looking at VK54A / VR30A (I assume the receiver part of VK54A is identical to VR30A.)  The cameras all transmit the same, though, right?  I was thinking of a floodcam.
