This is sad because really, I like the idea
of x10's stuff. I really do, and I plan on
expanding my system in the future. I'm
dissapointed that they are in this situation.
I really hope they shape up, they could pay
back what they owe pretty quick if they'd put
a little effort into their company!!

There appear to be those who are loyal to
x10 and support their faults. It has
nothing to do with wanting them to jump for
me to solve a problem - it has to do with
them doing ANYTHING!! Call for an RMA, get
put on hold, forever, and never get a
living soul. Call to find out why their
remotes don't work, nothing, no solutions,
just the same info over and over, except
that they seem to have TWO sets of
instructions for the same remote, neither
of which work, ask for an RMA, tranfered to
another number, and zap, nobody there.
Have two floodlight cameras that died
within two weeks, total death, call and
call and call, oh sure, they promise to
send out an RMA, but that never shows up,
call back and call back and call back, so
now I have two non-functioning remotes and
two dead flood cams and no recourse. Suing
in small claims court is rapidly becoming
an option. If nothing else it will make
public record their shallow and gross
disinterest in honoring their own basic and
extended warranties that they charge for,
with no apparent intent of honoring. This
has nothing to do with not getting along,
only getting what is due, expected, and
promised. When they do nothing, it is an
insult and a slap in the face to honest
people who buy thier products and expect
them to work as advertised.

I am sorry that you are having so much
trouble. I do admit that it took me some
time to set up my cams with there
instructions. But once I sat down and took
my time it went fast and works good not
perfect but I did not expect that much for
what I paid. Service what can I say but
that it has been good for me and I hope x10
well be around for awhile. It has Already
paid for it’s self by setting off alarm and
showing me a kid in my drive picking up
rocks throwing them at another kid and next
to my truck, windshield cost new $350.00
spent less then that on cams.

Just so you know, I have had my first set
of x10 cameras for over a year, it is just
recently that their customer service has
fallen off the bus. I have bought some
more equipment to expand my system and can
not get any help or customer service from
them. Until recently their customer
service was excellent, then everything went
into the crapper and I haven't seen
anything good out of them. It's like
nobody there now understands their own
products or gives much of a damn about
anything...I was happy with them til
recently.

I have used customer service from X10 in the
past and it was good. Maybe now it is not.
Too bad if true.

Well, I buy my X-10's at the goodwill. It
seems people through a lot of them away.
Most work, some have broken antennas. Some
are even new with rapped cords. ALL CHEAP,
the most I have paid is like $3.00. I have
one with addressable remote. I called to ask
about it, they said "computer was down 03-
05", and they were very rude and in less I
had an order number they would not even
answer any questions as I didn't buy it new!
I asked to speak to a manager, they said all
is made in China and they wouldn't give me
the corp. number!
Why has the attny.general not shut this
scamming company down yet?

I believe there are know serviceable parts
in the x10 cam. As to x10 not taking the
time to help you well I have to agree with
them. If they take the time for you then
those that have bought new well have to
wait longer. If your in business to make
money you can’t be handing out free stuff
and expect to be around very long. If you
come to my garage sale don’t be coming back
asking me to sell you parts to the broken
bicycle you bought for $5.00. I burn CD’S
for people and I can’t count how many of
them come back to me asking to fix there
units or teach them how to us it, not my
job and if I take the time I would be out
of business in two days.

Good point 2pyrs but if x10 put a little
effort into their products, maybe even raised
the price, and made them better quality,
they'd have less problems. I expect them to
sell quality products more than I do expect
them to give everyone a replacement.

Paid less then $100 bucks for what I got
and did not expect to get the best in the
market. Yes it has draw backs and yes it
has bugs, but I have worked them out and as
with any business you well have unhappy
people know matter what you try to do for
them. Last month I burned more then 100
CD’s and had 4 people come back all but 2 I
made happy the others had to high
expectations other word they wanted more
then what they paid for. One girl told me
her father well hunt me down and hurt me.
She is on tape (smile your on x10). All
that for $15.00 and yes I could have given
her money back but after her threats and a
mouth you could not believe. Hell I
remember my first E- Machine, was that a
mistake. Haaha

Seems that X10, customer service is nowhere
to be reached. Tried several areas to reach
them (1-800, ../support.htm, live chat) but
failed. Are they for real? But what's odd
is that when you order it arrives fast, hope
you see the what I mean. We'll I don't
dream of their support anymore, I will just
have to throw the $200 buck. Consider it a
donation, hope this will help.
