I race on a friend's sailboat regularly in the summer months, and a couple of times a season, I record video from the race to share with others in our sailing association. I use X10 cameras and wireless transmitters/receivers to get video footage down below where everything is dry and safe, to be recorded on a few camcorders serving as VCR decks.

During the race in this example, you can see (about 1/3 of the way into the video through the end) the overhead X10 camera fed from about 45ft off the water wirelessly below decks to capture a unique view of our boat. It's great for showing the sail trim, capturing an occasional bump when things get tight, and showing the crew in action.

I take all this footage and edit it together into a podcast to share with the world.

You've gotta love X10, and the creative things it allows us to do! In addition to use on the sailboat, I've mounted them under a Jeep and on the fender during off road expeditions, on a long boom pole in a hot air ballooning trip, on the deck of a kayak in a kayak-surfing video production, and all over mountain bikes in cross country and downhill races. The thing I love most about X10 cameras is that they are so reasonably priced, when I occasionally destroy one during a bike crash or something. Without them, I wouldn't be able to produce this kind of video.

I use my myriad of kits in different ways:
Motion sensors w/ chime facing front and rear entry ways - This has apparently helped prevent my vehicle from being burglarized (4 neighbors had vehicles broken into last night, which is why I was on the site today. Showing them my setup)
I also use light switches throughout the house with ActiveHome Pro for automatic room lighting in the evenings (brighter during the early evening, and fades out over 6 hours)
I also use the wall remote for instant all-on lighting, as well as a keyfob for entry lighting.

With chimes, lights, and even the remotes, my house stays well lit, even when I am out of the country.
