MS10A signals and OnAlert
« on: January 23, 2008, 11:42:10 PM »

Can anyone owning an MS10A Security Motion Sensor and having AHP with the OnAlert plugin let me know whether their MS10A behaves the same as mine, i.e.:

When motion is detected, the sensor transmits the Alert signal.  Then 10 seconds later it transmits the Normal signal, regardless of whether or not there is continuing motion.   After a refractory period of around 1 minute (and assuming continuing motion), it will again transmit the same Alert - 10 seconds - Normal sequence.

(This seems strange, and differs from X-10 non-security motion sensors, which don't transmit a Normal signal until some interval after the motion stops.)

Thanks for your response.

I don't use mine anymore but I do recall the same fixed delay followed by the normal signal regardless of continuous motion.
