Security Console and Security Light on same House/Unit Code?
« on: February 15, 2008, 01:31:57 AM »

I've installed my DS7000 console in AHP w/OnAlert, and specified the House/Unit code.  Now, I'm installing my light modules and I'm not sure if I should install the Security Light (with the House/Unit code matching the console) into AHP or not.  If so, do I specify the same House/Unit code for the Console AND the Security Light? I suspect this would probably be OK since I would think that the two modules respond to different command sets. Or, is it best not to install the Security Light in AHP and just let the console control it exclusively?

Thanks in advance...

It OK to have more than one device set to the same HC/UC in AHP.

Since the DS7000 ICON in AHP is just a decoration, then any commands you have for that HC/UC will be just for your security light. It's nice to have the DS7000 ICON in AHP as a reference for what HC/UC you have it set to, but there are no commands for it.
