I've been struggling with getting reliable RF signals to the CM15A from my DS10A door sensors. After adding the f-connector and an external antenna to the CM15A, I'm almost there, but one sensor I'm having particular trouble with is my garage door. I have a DS10A mounted inside the house, with a wire extending along the garage ceiling about 25 feet to the magnetic switch mounted near the door. I get a reliable CLOSE signal in my AHP Activity Monitor from the DS10A, but I rarely get a signal when the door is OPENED. When googling for "310Mhz antenna", I got lots of hits for garage door openers. This made me wonder -- is it possible that the RF signal from the transmitter for my garage door opener generates enough RF "noise" to make the DS10A signal unintelligible to the CM15A?

If the two signals are present at the same time then it will most likely cause the DS10A's signal to become un-intelligible.

If you have a hard-wired switch inside your garage for opening the door, try it and see if AHP consistently picks up the DS10A open signal. If it does then it sure sounds like RF interference. Another test would be a quick press & release of the garage remote to make sure you are not still transmitting as the door opens.

Could also be noise from the garage door openers motor getting into the 25' of extended sensor wire. Is it twisted or shielded?

It's neither twisted nor shielded -- just speaker wire. I'll do some testing with shorter wires and non-RF signals to open the door to see if I can pinpoint the issue. Thanks for the suggestions!
