Hope this is the right area for this topic because it includes security, cameras and X10.
Anyways the range on my VCR Commander II is just not adequate. It will not pick up the floodcam from ~15 ft. away through one (block) wall. (And yes, it works just fine on starting and stopping the VCR once you complete the tedious programming.)
Has anyone modded this thing? I've seen many threads on modding the CM15A antenna and would assume this would be similar - but ACTUAL experience may be
helpful . (For some reason people here always highlight that word
)
I've tried taping a 18 1/4" inch piece of coat hanger on to the existing antenna and it does actually seem to increase the range - but not enough.
Practical - easy - effective mod?

PS: This would be easy to do using my WGL800, Ocelot/USB-UIRT and a Pyramid IR extender - but where is the fun in that?
