AHP and WS12A
« on: April 28, 2008, 10:09:48 PM »

Hi,

Brand new to AHP and X10:

I installed a WS12A and it works correctly from the switch. I can also issue an on/off or dim (up and down) on a remote. Works correctly.

I can turn it on and off and Dim  with AHP

The issue is when I add the WS467  to a macro and within the macro tell it to dim 50 or  60% etc.. the WS12A dims to something like 10% (very faint) no matter what I set in the macro. This is true of a second WS12A as well (all incandescent)  lamps at 60 watts) they are H3 and H4.

Any help will be appreciated.

The new WS12 and WS467 switches come ON at the last brightness level they were turned OFF at. So if you are using "RELATIVE" dims and the light is already coming on at something less than 100% you might be seeing what AHP thinks is normal operation.

Try defining the wall switch as a LM14A and use "ABSOLUTE" for the light level and see if that helps.
