Retrieve data from CM15a?
« on: July 03, 2008, 02:42:32 PM »

Does anyone know if it is possible to retrieve data from the CM15a interface?

My hard drive failed and I don't have the file that was downloaded to the interface and the program in the interface needs some adjusting.

I am sorry to say, that unfortunately, no.  There is no way to re-upload the binary file from the CM15a, and recreate the original .ahx file.

Well yes but really no.
There is a patch that gives you he ability to retrieve the data that is in the CM15A but it is impossible to recreate to AHP file as the descriptive information is not downloaded to the CM15A. I believe this patch is used at X10 and was distributed on a limited as needed basis.

What a great opportunity to remind people of just how easy it is to make back-ups of files.... before a lighting strike takes out the HD or PC. I use a flash drive to keep copies of both my ahx (AHP) and BVC (Bill's Voice Commander) files.
