Removing Paddle from XPD3
« on: August 02, 2008, 04:17:41 AM »

Sorry, I have the same question about this switch as the Palmpad label cover. Is there any trick to removing the paddle so I can get to the dial underneath? Or do I just pry it off.

If you didn't get the 4 page users guide for the module. It is in the X10Pro's Install Guide Area of.
http://www.x10pro.com/
Their instructions are more detailed, but basically you pry gently sideways at the fulcrum point of the paddle and work it out. The trim piece around the paddle area; you will see two notches to pop it off; if you got an Almond Trim set with yours and want to use it.

Thanks again, Brian H. I only got the one page version without the detailed instructions. All taken care of.

I tried to hit the thanks for help button but was told I had to wait 24 hours to repeat a karmic action.

Edit: Not only did those more detailed instructions have the information on removing the paddles, it also gave much better guidance in properly installing the switches for three-way control.

Glad it helped. I have found a few updated users guides there. Including the Soft Start Versions of their Lamp Module and Wall switches. X10 has soft start versions but didn't change any part numbers. I believe X10Pro has a different number for the soft start versions.
