light module does not work with remote switches
« on: September 02, 2008, 11:31:42 AM »

I have a light switch that will only work if I click on it in Active Home Pro. or press the button on switch. If I use a remote switch it does not turn on or off, but it does show it was turned on or off on Active Home Pro. All other switches work in my house and this switch use to work until lately?

Look in the Hardware Configuration Tab
Transceived House Codes.
Make sure the House Code the switch is using is set to be transceived.
Also is the CM15A the only unit you have receiving signals from remotes?

What are you trying to control with the switches? Do the devices respond to the RF signal from the switch or a line signal from AHP after it receives the RF signal? Are you trying to control them directly or through a macro in AHP? i.e. When you say AHP sees the signal do you mean that AHP is saying it has heard the RF signal from the switch but the device you're controlling hasn't?
What type of remote switches? Some, like the slim switches, have a poor signal.

Re-read and caught this line.

When something that use to work well stops, it is often do to something added that causes or aggravates one of these basic problems:
    Top 3 Problems
    [li]Phase issues[/li]
    [li]Signal sucker[/li]
    [li]Interfering noise on the line[/li]

I got it fixed. I set it to receive house codes in A modules in hardware configuration.

Yeah I think others have commented that AHP quirk. AHP appears to receive RF signals all the time but won't act on them unless you've selected that HC in your preferences.
