« on: December 20, 2008, 03:58:24 PM »

My CM11A is constantly sending 0x66 0xFE this just started a few weeks ago I've been trying to write some simple control software for it and it was working fine but now its sending out the 66 FE and wont accept any commands.  any ideas?  I've left it unplugged for days without batteries plugged it back in same thing.  I cant find any reference in the protocol to this any ideas?

Never saw that when I had the CM11A and Active Home.   What does 66FE stand for?

Your CM11A has most likely bit the dust.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it doesn't work.
X10 on Windows is like that.

I figured out the problem.  Luckily the CM11a is still working right.  It was the comport setting on the device I had the CM11A connected too.   For what ever reason after the device (an Extron IPLTSF24) serial port settings revert back to 9600 baud after an update.  So when the port was set at 9600 it was showing the power fail 0x5A as 0x66 0xFE.

Glad you found it and it is still working with the port setting fixed.
