No video image-Using Sentinal PanTiltZoom wired camera
« on: December 31, 2008, 02:06:00 PM »

I have owned my camera for nearly a year and this has never happened before. It's hardwired in, with the video cable plugged into the correct outlet on back of my tv. Also have the wireless video receiver sitting on top of my tv. I used my own tv remote to turn off the tv screen as I went to bed the other nite. When I woke up, I hit the button on my tv remote to turn the screen back on(like I have many times before) but this time instead of seeing a view of what was going on outside all I see  is a black screen.help.

Not a lot of detail to hazard a guess. What have you done to troubleshoot the problem?
1. Is TV on the correct video input?
2. Does TV work on regular channels?
3. Is the camera connection to TV secure? (i.e. did the dog pull the video cable from TV).
4. Is camera getting power?
5. Plug video cable from the camera into a VCR, does VCR record an image?

My first step would be to determine if it is a camera problem or a TV problem.
