x10 video sender quit working
« on: January 31, 2009, 01:31:37 PM »

The support page and 800 number are horrible.

I bought a video sender for my TV, it worked for 1 day then all of a sudden last night it quit working.  It is not sending a signal, i tried to reset both boxes by turning them off them back on.  that did not work

i switched them from channel a to channel d, that did not work.

i moved the transmitter to a different room and plugged it up to a different satellite box, that did not work.

do these have a high failure rate or something?  did my unit fail after 1 fkn day?

any suggestions on how to fix this other than sending it back for a refund?

....do these have a high failure rate or something?

I have a few units... and none have failed yet. Unless you've bumped the On/Off switch, or your receptacle has failed ... I think your going to have to get a return thingy from X10. Get them to pay the return postage too.

no one touched anything, we were in bed watching it then it quit sending a video or audio signal.

i have switched it to a different room and different channels and it does not work.

i am just going to box it up, send it back and pay the extra $5 a month to have another satellite box in the bedroom.

photo, i not had one one them to fail yet either, I would move the tv in the same room with the receiver and the transmitter first just to see if they get a signal, if not then, and both on same channel, then i would contact x10
