Duncan,
I would like to have software in cd form so I don't have to remember which e-mail address I was using three or four years ago to re-install what was already paid for.
Also, get rid of x10-bucks that can only be used on regular priced items. I rarely buy regular priced items as I am always looking for a deal. Let me use x10-bucks for any purchase!!!

How about an economical 15 Amp line filter.

I think the X10 packages, as they are now, are better for people new to the technology. Once you're an "established" user, it's more about replacements and/or troubleshooters, filters, and the like that are needed.

How about having an "introduction to X10" section where certain "beginner" packages are included and an "established user" section where add-ons, expansions, troubleshooters, and the like are featured?

To answer Duncan's first question, I'd have to say that I have found some of the packages recently to be quite interesting and tempting. However, I have to admit that the only reason I ever considered buying anything from this website or for that matter, even visiting this website, was because a friend whom I trust said it was "safe" to do so. If I were a new buyer without the benefit of my friend's advice, I would consider the advertizing to be sleazy and the objectifying of women at this website to be a reason NOT to buy from it. Having said that, I also do not believe in censorship, so I'm not trying to preach or lecture anybody about this issue.

There are some X10 devices that one rarely or never finds in the deals!
How about adding some of these?
Others have suggested filters and phase couplers, how about adding powerflash modules?
How about 2 or 3 for one deals for these rarely if ever offered items?
As many of us are already long time users, we are mostly looking for replacement modules!
Throwing in a free lamp module is almost useless with CFLs gaining use.
The X number for price of one deals always get my attention, to bad they are almost always for items one already has a box full of :'(

    One other suggestion:
For All your Vanguard kits is to include a transceiver (TM751) or at least specify that one is needed to turn cameras on /off as well as other devices. ;)
So many newbies have issues setting these systems up until it is pointed out a transceiver is needed!

I gotta agree get rid of the porn style advertising. It is tacky and unprofessional. I looked at this website for months wondering if it was a scam or not and the only thing that convinced me to make my first order was the guys on forums.

Much less showing the website to friends or family members or god forbid some old lady i was trying to do an install for.

More 2 way polling devices are needed and it would be nice to see them on a package deal too along with filters and phase couplers like others have mentioned.

And the CLF lamps are coming to stay and that is no joke and your sales are going to going to suffer when the government madates 500% tax on incandescent bulbs or whatever silly figure they come up with.

There are some dimmable CFLs out there but they are expensive and I'm sure extremely noisy when dimmed.
So you guys need to work on some modules and switches with built in filters to cut back that fluorescent line noise...

Some deals on X10 pro stuff.

I don't know where those guys on eBay are getting the stuff but they have some great deals on some pro stuff..

It would be nice if you could go on the website and see your past orders and be able to save a wishlist.
If you let people build a wishlist in their account you could track more trends of what people were after..

Thanks for listening to my rant

Since there seem to be so many phase issues and electrical noise problems etc maybe they should have a package that includes some plug-in noise filters, or one of those PZZ01's, or a coupler or a coupler/repeater!
     ;)
