Using vanguard with my converted wireless-to-wired camera
« on: July 23, 2009, 04:47:57 PM »

Hi.
I am going to convert one of my three wireless XX11A-2-C 2.4 GHz color anywhere cameras to wired and connect to my pc to record video as well as be able to view over the internet with Vanguard.
Questions:
1) Over the internet can Vanguard be instructed to turn on/off the camera, start recording, and ALSO show me the video real-time that is also recording to my pc?

I have all this random X10 equipment and need to know what is necessary in order to get the above to work:
TM751-C Mini-tranceiver
CK18A 4 Pc RF Firecracker Interface Kit
XX11A-2-C 2.4 GHz color anywhere cameras (3)
VK30A w/PS Video receiver (won't need this)
CM19A Wireless PC tranceiver (actually they upgraded me to MK10A)
MS16A ActiveEye motion sensors (3) (won't need these)
SW26A Vanguard Control Center Software
VA12A USB Video Capture Adapter

Here's what I'm thinking:
I need the TM751C to be able to grab a signal from Vanguard to tell the camera to turn on/off.
I need the VA12A to grab the camera video/audio into my pc.
Do I need any of the other equipment?

Thanks.
