That's pretty gnarly.

The ICON Remote should return to home and return focus to a user selected default device (such as the satellite box) upon going to or returning from sleep. - darn it!

Hmmm, Halloween is only for a short period each year and it seems such a waste of a fantastic looking device.

 Idea

Could this invention be

a) used as part of a home security system,
b) rigged to motion sensors and used to scare/toast passing cats, deer, children,
c) used as an automated grilling machine, or
d) all of the above

Disclaimer. As a responsible citizen I must point out that I do not approve of setting fire to defenceless critters. Although, cats, deer, children and burglars are fair game Smiley

Could this invention be....  used as part of a home security system

What an excellent idea!!!

I have long claimed that floodlights (and plenty of them) are a good deterrent to crime at night. But a 30 foot column of fire... that would scare the bee-geebees out of anyone. Maybe... I'd better check with my [home owners] insurance agent before I ask for directions on making one.

The use of Home Automation is limited... only by our imaginations.

Tell me Knight, did you have to get any type of Federal Agency approval/licensing (NRC, Homeland, FAA, FEMA, etc) before "going hot"?
