Installed AHP and lost Xpad
« on: November 30, 2009, 08:57:17 PM »

I have always used XPad on my computer. I just installed AHP and now I get the Programed encountered an error and must shut down, blah blah blah message. I have uninstalled xpad and reinstalled but still get the message. I don't want to have to run AHP all the time to turn lights on and off. How  can I get xpad back?

What's Xpad?   A Google search popped up it's a laptop cooler.  What version of AHP did you get?

It's an onscreen remote.
You can can get it in the downloads area. Real convenient control from the PC.

Download link

And I found the issue to be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\X10\Common; the remote client activex component for myhouse online that gets installed via internet explorer was causing the issue. I removed those files and all is good again.

Glad you found the answer to your problem.
Xpad. You jogged my memory. I believe it is part of the Firecracker Kit.

Your right! I believe it was the firecracker where I first saw it. Although my serial firecracker is long gone; it works great with the USB CM19A that came with my Pan Tilt Pro software.
