We understand.

It sounds more and more like the offending device is buried within the gear you have tucked away.

Since it's going to be difficult and labor-intensive to disconnect your gear, how about turning off the power to those rooms at the breaker panel?

I will start but turning off the breakers and seeing what happens but it needs to be part of a 1/2 day , during the day effort when wife, 3 year old, and 5 year old are out of the house. Today is 5 year old's b-day...tomorrow Valentines day...I'm gone all next week so it waits until next Sunday I think....

It may take a while...I will solve this and I will update the group...

I don't think I own an Icon remote (what is it? ...why do you ask?)

I think I was probably confused, but was thinking about what could transmit X10 RF commands on multiple house codes. The Icon (IR27, IR32) is one of the few X10 remotes that can transmit (RF) all X10 house codes - unit codes.

Thought maybe you had one that could have gone squirrely (a midwest technical term) especially if you have programmed in macros.

Well, if the problem is gone when you get back, you had a stuck remote and now the batteries are dead. Check under the boy's beds.  :D

...and as suddenly as the storm hit...it has now moved on...

I returned home Friday to discover that there was no longer an "RF Storm" in my apartment. Many previously speculated about  a stuck remote. There is no direct evidence of this and I have not discovered the root cause...I'm just grateful that it's resolved.

I'm haunted by the prospect of its return...

Thanks to all for your interest/support and I'm sorry that I don't have more interesting news...

Glad to hear the problem "healed" itself.

And thanks for posting back.

A lot of newbies who post a problem and receive help from the forum don't post back.

That doesn't help other members who might be experiencing the same issues, doesn't help contribute to the knowledge base, and inconsiderate to those who took the time to try and help them out.

Hope the problems are permanently gone and don't reoccur for you.
