power line alarm system

hi ! i'm trying to design an alarm system for cisco routers that would send a notification from the x10 device to the router. has anyone done this before ?

Uh, you are talking about X10 remote control modules http://www.x10.com/home.html and not IBM's X10 programming language aren't you?
