Trouble with VA12A?
« on: June 05, 2010, 11:50:50 AM »

Certainly no problems with the basic setup of the equipment.  Everything clear (not exceptional - but no interference) at video level of operation.  Pan and tilt working fine.  However the trouble started with tying it into the computer.  Vaguard is a bit strange - but the problem exists with other software too.  I’m Getting a high frequency interference on the computer view, as well as objectionable complete dropouts, (black frame) - as many as three a second on the display. I’m using the VA12A USB device and wondering if this is the problem. The image on the computer is also very poor in resolution compared to the video out of the VR42A receiver.  (One exception there is the audio is useless - signal to noise ratio is nonexistent)!  As I use a high quality outside audio pickup I’m not worried about the X-10 audio.  Oh yes - the camera is the Xcam VK75A.

System is a HP Pavillion laptop Win XP sp3.
