Vanguard Help
« on: February 14, 2011, 01:49:29 PM »

I have been reading the post but I cannot seem to get my System up and running any advice anyone can submit or tell me where to look I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a Pentium 4 running windows XP professional 3.0 GHz with 2mb ram. I have wireless internet to my machine for high speed Comcast.
I ordered the voice dialer console (PS561) using 2 door sensors (DS10A) and the security motion sensor (MS10A). I do not have a phone line so I wanted it automated through Vanguard.

The Vanguard kit I have the XCam 2 B/W camera (XX20A), eagle eye Motion (MS14A), RF PC Transceiver (CM19A), USB Digital Video Converter (VA12A) and the Video Receiver (VR36A). I was sent the i-moble remote software as well.

The issue I’m having is in Vanguard how can I simple make the system work I’m missing something. All I want to do is when the system is triggered be alerted remotely and view and disable and rest alarm. It seems simple enough but keeps freezing up.

There is some added information in the X10 wiki.
If you have not found it yet.

Do you have AHP as I don't think Vanguard can do anything with the security dialer and sensors directly.
Is i-mobile remote the exact name of the software you have?

Thank you for your assistance I have had the system since December and can’t get it going this will be a big help. I guess I didn’t understand how if Vanguard could not control the consol how the On Alert Mobile Work and the iWatch Mobile Pro would Arm and Dis-Arm the System due to no phone line.

Thank you for the added information on what you have.
Originally I did not see things like AHP and some of the plug in software.
I believe On Alert interfaces with the security console.

I am sure others with more software experience will be able to get you going.
