Which components should the CK17G starter kit contain? (European)
« on: September 14, 2010, 03:35:34 AM »

Hi,

I've recently bought an X10 starter kit from a Norwegian Webshop. (http://www.netshop.no/Avdelinger/HJEM_FRITID/Hjemmeautomasjon/Str%C3%B8mstyring/Startsett/X10---CK17G-Str%C3%B8mstyring,-sett,-6-deler-Ledningsnett-og-tr%C3%A5dl%C3%B8st-35372.aspx).

When I first opened the package, I got a bit comfused. The contents of the package does not match a) The picture on the web page b) the picture on the box and c) The list of items on the web page. Strange.

It seems what is confusing me is that there's no TM13 Transceiver Module, in stead I've got a CM15e controller, which has an antenna. On the box there's a picture of a CM15 module without the antenna.

Will I manage with the CM15e and no TM13? Can the CM15e both recieve antenna and send to the power outlet?

Here's the contents of my kit:

1 CM15e
2 AM12 - Appliance module
1 LM12 - Lamp module
1 LM15 - Lamp socket
1 UR24 - Remote

The CM15e has a built in X10 RF receiver and transmitter in it and can tranceive X10 RF commands back to the power line.
It can also send and receive X10 power line signals.
In the AHP program there should be a tools menu and a hardware configuration area.
You maybe able to set which house codes it processes. Here in the US our CM15A can do all 16 house codes but can be set to selectively ignore some of them.

Educated guess below:
The photo on the box maybe old and the original kit may have had the CM11E which did not do RF traneceiving. In that case the TM13 would be needed.
