A newbie dilemna
« on: November 12, 2010, 10:10:05 PM »

I know this sounds rather ridiculous, but I'm not sure about installation of software for Vanguard ICC or Sentinel ICC. Perhaps it's confusion over "remote" and "server", but here goes.
In my particular set up the computer with the camera connection is my laptop. Am I right in calling this one the server? I then plan to view through my desk top. Is this then the remote?
Which end (or both) do I install the software. I know this sounds dumb, but I think by installing it on both, I sort shot myself in the foot. I currently have the software installed on both units, and am unable to get a picture on the "receiving" side of things. Everything looks good on the "sending" side, just a black screen on the receiving side.
Thanks for your help.
PS- I'm usually not this dumb, but for some reason this simple thing has me stumped!
