Icon Remote with Next Gen Remote Control Extender
« on: February 08, 2011, 10:58:21 PM »

I have been using a icon remote to turn on my TV, receiver and cable box with no problems.

Recently I purchased a Next Generation Remote Control Extender.

After hooking it up, it turns on all my equipment except the TV.

Could it possibly be something with the delay settings on the remote?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

More detail!

Does the Icon change channels and volume on the TV through the Next Gen Extender, once the TV is on?

If not, is the Next Gen emitter for the TV working?

If everything on the TV but ON-OFF works through the Next Gen, and the Icon still works fine when pointed directly at the TV, then I would contact Next Gen

Since you have been using the Icon successfully with your TV and if you can still do so I would suspect the Next Generation Remote Control Extender is faulty.
The Icon was designed to work well with the Powermids.
I've used these successfully since the Icon beta tests!
You may wish to use them instead as that is what most users here have in there setups!
