Hi All,

So I'm new to Active Homepro's product and X10 itself.  I've read about Active Homepro's different modules and X10's communication protocols and is somewhat familiar with it enough that I want to start some development.  How do I get started at possibly getting an experimental Active Homepro product, i.e. light adapter, and am I limited to using VB6 for development?

Thanks,

Your going to need the SDK and a cm15a or cm19a!

I would go for the CM15A. It has both power line and RF receivers and senders in it.
CM19A is strictly RF and would need a Tranceiver TM751 or RR501 to be used and you would not have power line receiving or sending.

I'm not sure of your programming experience level, but if you would like to see a very sophisticated project, the source for iHouse Home Automation is available as a free download at http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=472.  It's written in VB10

To see info about the capabilities of iHouse, see:
http://www.ihousehomeautomation.com/

BTW, if you are an experienced VB developer, the iHouse community would certainly appreciate any help!  ;D

Thanks Tuiceman and Brian H!  Base on what you both recommended I will get the CM15A which is included in the $79.99 package.

ITguy I use to develop VB6 forms.
