Projector screen install options
« on: July 06, 2011, 01:56:07 AM »

I have a new motorised projector screen that I have yet to install. I was intially going to install an SW10G switch (not yet purchased) for receiving X10 commands so that screen descends, lights lower, projector switches on, etc, simultaneously from an X10 remote. The cabling was installed to do this, so that's not an issue. However, the screen comes with a built-in IR remote-controlled capability already. What is my best option now to make this happen, and what additional bits of hardware do I need? Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

if it uses IR i would look into using Bills voice commander, you can set the listeners to recognize an x10 address and send an IR command via the usbuirt and even implement a set of power mids if your computer is not colse to the screen.  This would eliminate alot of hard wiring and set up
