CAN THE AIRPAD PLAY WMV VIDEO FILES?

Yes indeed it does. Mine seems to have some issues playing WMV for my iomega network media hard drive(server) but plays them great from a USB thumb drive.

I also observed this behavior.

Not sure if it's a lack of processing power or WiFi bandwidth. The problem would likely go away if Gingerbread would better initially buffer the media. Seems to be left up to the Apps to buffer, but I'm not sure if that is by design.

My findings are that avi files play without issue white wmv do not. This is with the exact same movie same frame rates,screen size ,audio  bitrates etc..   I have never been a big fan of Windows media files be they video or audio but then I do not really care for thier Media players either.
