Wireless hook up

My pad shows my network, acknowledges it, accesses it, then disables it. Over and over. I don't have ethernet on. Any ideas? I have changed security, removed security, nothing works. It does still show the padlock on the network, which I assume means security is enabled, but I have it wide open.
