What they say is true
« on: November 18, 2011, 04:11:48 PM »

OK first let me say the product's capability seems pretty good however with that said, now the bad stuff.  The battery, at best, lives for two hours of being on and being used (surfing, solitary gaming etc) + <6 hours of sleep without a live home screen.  So a very short battery life.  Second and this has happened three or four times now. if I power down while charging the Airpad won't turn on again.  I have to press the reset button.  It doesn't lose anything because it's not on but that is still BS.  I guess I wasted $200 + the 32GB micro card + the lather case, unless someone has an answer.  I would like to buy the 10" but after my recent experience I think I'll spend a bit extra and get a different tablet.

I would have bought another tablet too, if the battery life and other glitches were dealt with first 7" airpad. ......... why should we trust them?

I don't usually like to complain, but right now my frustration is too much to bear. I looked at a lot of 7" tablets and thought this one was the best on the market. If it is, then I guess I will just stick with my iPhone and forget about getting a tablet. As mentioned above, the battery life is abysmal. The screen is also very dim compared to other devices. My unit froze after a week and would not boot or reset. It took two weeks to get an RMA to send the unit back to x10. Now I have been waiting more than 30 days for a refund. X10 support does not answer phone calls or emails (in fact my emails to support@x10.com are returned "Blocked"). Hopefully, someone from x10 will read this post and take care of this problem. My RMA number is 326561.

I am getting about 6 hours on the Airpad X, the new 10.2" tablet.
Using the FCC Id # on the Airpad X i was able to find out that the Airpad  X is actually a Zenithink ZT-280-C91.
Just look at the ZT-280-C91 on their website and you will see.  Even the screen shots and videos on the web show the setting pages are the same.
On eBay people are even selling them with android 4 with the market installed.
If the ICS update provided by X10 does not include market then perhaps the ICS 4.0 version that is in beta right now for Zenithink will work.
Just make sure you download the X10 2.3.4 install file on the website if you don't like the results and need to restore your Airpad X

I have an AIRPAD X which is a re-badge of the ZENITHINK ZT280-C91 and an AIRPAD XL which is a re-badge of the PLOYER MOMO15
