Internal Service Failure while playing games
« on: December 29, 2011, 09:55:50 PM »

I have had my AirPad X for about 1 week and have had some frustrations with it. I am not familiar  :-[ with tablets at all so that may be my problem.

The other night my kids were using it to play Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds and after about two hours the AirPad shutdown. It was pretty warm, borderline hot, and I figured it needed to be charged. So, I plugged it in so the kids could continue playing and it wouldn't allow us to play anymore. So I figured I just needed to let it charge over night. The problem was, The thing wouldn't shut down. The screen was on, but black. Couldn't get it to just shut down. I left if like this for a while and I think it just turned itself off after some time.

Day after... So, now we have the thing all charged and going. When my kids try to play Fruit Ninja we can play for about 30-60 seconds, and then we get an error "Internal Service Failure"... Not good..  B:(

So, does this mean the app is messed up and I need to reinstall? Does it mean there is a hardware issue? I am a little disappointed in how non-easy this is to use and get to do what I want. I admit I am not a tablet person and don't even have a smart phone so I am not familiar at all with how this should work... But I would expect it to be somewhat user friendly so people like me could use it and not get frustrated.

Any ideas on what to do with this error message? I am thinking I should just send it back and look into another tablet.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

I hope someone can help you with the problem.

If you do decide to return it.
From the sales web page:
The return time limit is 14 days and non defective units have a 15% restocking fee.

I had the same problem. My time and date were off (when it loses all power it resets to 2023).  I fixed that and it seems to be working perfectly.  I hope it does the same for you.
