sd card
« on: September 24, 2011, 10:57:25 PM »

I bought a new 16GB micro SD card, install it and it shuts down the airpad completely. I install a 4GB micro SD card and it works fine. Does this mean that there is something wrong with the card or is something wrong with the airpad?

Sounds like the card but perhaps it is a formating issue. I would suggest mounting  the card in a computer and running a check on it.

FYI the only micro one I had laying around is a San Disk 8GB which I have used in my Sana player as well as a very small (spy type) camera. It works in the AirPad but not all of the files are compatible.

Is the air pad compatible with micro sdhc or does it need to be plain micro sd?

I'm using a Transend Micro-SDHC 16gb (Class 4) with no problems. Formatted Fat32.

The speed factor of the SD card is important here, from what I'm hearing on Slatedroid.  I bought a Patriot 32GB one that has a speed rating of 10.  No issues whatsoever.
