Wireless Network Error
« on: January 22, 2012, 02:04:04 PM »

Hello, I have had my AirPadX for about two weeks. Until the other day it worked fine. I find now that I can no longer connect to my wireless network. I noticed the other day that I was disconnected so I went into settings and the wireless was turned off. I tried to turn it on, but every time I do, it displays, "Error." Rebooting did not help, neither did performing a hard reset with a paperclip. I also found instructions on how to reload the firmware, which also did not help.

I would be appreciative of any other ideas.

Thanks.

Haven't seen an error message but I noticed you can't have the ethernet and wifi enabled at the same time.

Also I've had to do a complete power off then on to sometimes get my wireless back.

Yeah, I have tried rebooting the device, which does not resolve the issue. I just went to make sure that the Ethernet is disabled, and it is. Thank you for your response and suggestions. It was worth a try.

You might want to try "forgetting" the wifi connection, then reestablishing it again.  I had a similar problem with Gingerbread.  Since upgrading to Ice Cream Sandwich, I haven't had that happen.  You can go into settings->wifi and select your wifi connection, then tap the "forget" button.  Verify you want to do that, and when it's done, you can scan "add network", and select your wifi connection, and enter your access information, such as WPA password, etc.
