If you have a Airpad 7p, you do have to push the card into the tablet a bit. It is sometimes a little difficult to get it to latch. You can gently push it in with the rounded end of a paper clip.

If you have a different model, it should go in easily.

Just got the airpad XL and it's a bitch too.

Thought mine was defective because you actually have to push the micro sd card in past the "outershell" a bit - before it locks in.

I was scared to try it at first.

When in final resting postion and locked in - mine is recessed in the slot past the case, by about 1/16"

As someone said - you have to use your thumbnail to get it in far enough to lock in.

Just make sure you put it in straight.  You should feel the spring tension as it passed the halfway in point - then just gently keep pushing until in is all the way into the slot and then about a 1/16" further to lock in and stay in.

Use your fingernail again to push on it to release it - and it will pop out about 1/8" so you can grab it.
