Airpad7p and XL Audio Volume Levels?

How are the audio volume levels on the Airpad7p and AirpadXL? Are they loud enough to hear in a fairly loud environment but not a real loud environment or are they so soft that even if it's fairly quite they are hard to hear without using headphones or ear buds? Is one louder then the other.

Right now I have a Nextbook Premium 7 tablet and the speakers are amazingly loud for little bitty speakers.

The 7P has good volume to headphones.. Not surprising, needs powered speakers though. I do not have a XL for a comparison.. cj
