Airpad XL - Is it Really What You Paid For?
« on: April 22, 2012, 11:21:01 AM »

I have had my airpad XL for a few months now and had no problems with it.  Recently though I have seem a few complains about how the Ployer MOMO15, same tablet, is ranking a lot higher than the airpad XL's.  I did 4 benchmark tests with 4 different apps and they all came back the same...a lot lower scores.  I did some tests on just the CPU as well.  It came back as an A7 processor at 1008mhz??? I thought I bought a tablet with the all-winner Cortex A8 A10 1.2ghz processor not the A7.  Anyone got any inputs on the matter?

That unit does indeed have a Cortex A8 processor.

from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cortex-A8
The ARM Cortex-A8 is a processor core designed by ARM Holdings implementing the ARM v7 instruction set architecture. Compared to the ARM11 core, the Cortex-A8 is dual-issue superscalar, achieving roughly twice the instructions executed per clock cycle.
