KR32A and SH624 light control problem with the SC1200
« on: May 03, 2012, 11:14:11 PM »

Hi,

I just received my Securilink alarm system SC1200.
It's set to D5 so the lights(with lamp modules)and horn have to be set to D6 to work.
My problem is with the KR32A keyfob and the SH624 remote.
The lights come on with the keyfob but not the SH624.
However if I set the lights to G7, the keybob can't turn on the lights but the SH624 can.
Is there anyway I can make the KR32A and the SH624 both turn on the lights without dedicating
the SH624 to a different housecode/unitcode to control a different group of lights?

Thanks!

You set the SC1200 to House Code D and the Light Code 5.
Then the console with an alarm will flash lights on D5 and D6.
Unfortunately X10 made the lights button on the KR32A control the higher address and the older SH624 the Security Lights button does the lower address.

You are talking about the Security Lights buttons or are you trying the 1-4 buttons on the SH624?

Hi Brian...thanks for the reply.  Yes I'm trying to use the Security lights button of the SH624 and not the 1-4 buttons.

With the SC1200 the SH624's Security Light On and Off button does the Address you set in the console {House Code & Light Code}.
The KR32A Lights On and Lights Off do the Address you set +1 Light Code. {House Code & Light Code +1}.
So getting both remotes to control the same security lights address, with their Lights Buttons is not possible.

You maybe able to set the the SC1200 Security Light Code to 1,2 or 3. Then have the Lamp Modules on the higher of the two. 2,3, or 4. The KR32A would control them and then the corresponding button set on the SH624 could be used to also turn them On and Off.

On an alarm the SC1200 sends a On and Off command to both the Address it is set to and the address + 1 Light Code. So it would still flash.

You can still use the 1-4 buttons for lights on the same house code and units 1-4. The console will transceiver the RF from remotes on the house code it is set to. If you change the house code on the SH624 from what the consloe is set to. The signals will not be processed and you would need an added transceiver set to the other house code.
