Setting Alarm Path
« on: July 10, 2012, 10:10:49 PM »

Tried to set the path for storing images based on alarms. Used the Set Path and the Browse feature to browse to folder I had set up. Clicked that folder and got the message:"Set Record Path Failed". OK...but why? I'm simply trying to set a path for recording an image.

I have not yet set up my DDNS as that is a nut I didn't have time to crack; is this why my camera can't access the path to record the image? Or perhaps I haven't set up my HDD for sharing or something?

Thanks

Update to Setting Alarm Path

Read in the FAQ fine print of the manual that if using Win 7 or Vista, you must go into Internet Tools and add the camera as a trusted site in order to change the path.

Did that and tried to browse to the appropriate folder. I selected the folder and did NOT get the same error message...however, it didn't change the path of the alarm folder either.

Still trying.

Never mind!

Logged off the device and logged back in and THEN tried to change the path...worked great.
