IR Wavelength of X40 Outdoor PTZ IP Cam?
« on: October 16, 2012, 09:20:51 AM »

I have four of these cameras, and wish to purchase an IR Illuminator, but am unsure what the infrared wavelength is best detected by the camera.  I've seen both 840 and 940 nm illuminators.

Any ideas?

thanks.

I have the agasio 621 ( no iR ) which is similar to the X40 ( which has ir ).  I used an 840 nm external ir on my 621,  you may want to confirm from x10 tech that this is correct for their cam

Thanks.

There is a slight red glow on the cameras at night from the LED's, so I suspect 840 nm is correct.
